Darren taught in an isolated community in Canada’s far north before beginning his international teaching journey. With 14 years in international schools Darren has experience teaching U.K., American and Canadian curriculum in addition to his MYP Science and Math and IB diploma Chemistry experience. He is passionate about guiding students through their educational journey, both academically and pastorally.
Growing up Darren played every sport they would let him and he continues to find ways to be involved in sport and activities every chance he gets. Darren held the roles of Activities Coordinator and Head of Sport at his previous school and will certainly be found on the pitch, the court or the track as a coach many days a week during his time at TIS. Darren also loves to travel with his wife Tanya and their daughter. He speaks English but is looking forward to learning Japanese.
