Emma trained as a science teacher at a grammar school in the UK where she taught eleven to eighteen year old students, as well as leading the Environmental Science department. She has five years experience teaching the IB Diploma Program, (including Biology & Environmental Systems & Societies), and is enthusiastic about teaching MYP Science. After teaching in the UK, Emma spent two wonderful years teaching in a boarding school in Switzerland before making the decision to return to Japan. Emma is also an IB Diploma examiner for Environmental Systems & Societies. She speaks English and some Japanese which she is keen to improve. Outside of the classroom, Emma enjoys travelling, taking ikebana (Japanese flower arranging) lessons and developing her Japanese language skills. Emma speaks English.
