BS Elementary Education (graduated with Highest Honors, member of Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society)

Peggy is replacing Gabrielle Kaufhold during her Maternity leave this school year. Peggy has been substituting regularly at TIS since 2015. Peggy has EAL teaching experience and has taken a variety of educational courses and workshops throughout the years. Peggy came to Japan from Montana having begun her teaching career on the Northern Cheyenne Indian Reservation. Peggy met her Dutch husband in Tokyo and she has taught in Yokohama, Kobe and at a US Naval base school while moving in and out of Japan four times! Peggy taught in both Holland and Belgium and lived in Slovakia as well. Peggy loves living in Japan but misses her three children who, having graduated with IB diplomas, spread out around the world. She enjoys playing tennis, loves music and getting out into the Japanese countryside when possible. Peggy speaks Dutch and Japanese.
