Aimee Parkinson

Grade 1 Teacher

BA Education, BEd (Primary), M Ed (Leadership)

Before embarking on a new adventure in Tokyo, Aimee taught for eight years in Sydney, Australia. She completed her Masters of Educational Leadership in 2019 and has been a member of various school leadership teams. Aimee has a unique passion for writing, which inspired her to implement and lead a writing program across Kindergarten to Grade 6.  She facilitated professional learning for teachers and supported other schools who were eager to implement the program. She is a certified Mastery THRASS educator, a program that teaches the building blocks of reading and spelling. The proud and happy smiles on student faces when they experience that wonderful feeling of success in the classroom, no matter how big or small, makes her day. When Aimee is not teaching, she will be enjoying delicious food, learning to speak Japanese and no doubt, trying to work out the Tokyo train system to explore different neighborhoods. Aimee speaks English.
