Laura has been active in the international educational landscape in Japan for six years, teaching MYP Science, DP Biology, Chemistry, and Environmental Systems and Societies (ESS). With a research background in biology and environmental science, Laura enjoys bringing an interdisciplinary perspective to her classroom, aiming to ignite her students’ curiosity and passion for science.
During her 12 years in Kyoto, Laura developed a deep appreciation for Japanese culture and history, which she continues to explore enthusiastically. A native of Colombia, Laura is a coffee enthusiast who enjoys discovering new coffee shops in every city she visits. She also loves the outdoors, appreciating the natural beauty of both Asian and South American landscapes during her travels. Laura is fluent in Spanish and English, has intermediate Japanese skills, and is a beginner in Portuguese.
