Carlee is a creative soul, with a passion for art and innovation that has been a constant throughout her life. Raised on both the East and West coasts of the United States, she was surrounded by a family that nurtured her love for creating, appreciating the beauty of nature, and indulging in good food. Her diverse upbringing exposed her to a wide range of cultural influences and inspired her to explore different forms of expression.
Her enthusiasm for sports is just as varied. Carlee not only enjoys watching a broad spectrum of sports but is also actively involved in playing them. She channels her competitive spirit into Roller Derby, where she plays and coaches in Tokyo Roller Derby. This high-energy, fast-paced sport reflects her dynamic personality and her ability to lead and inspire others.
Carlee’s professional journey is equally impressive. She taught Visual Art across three countries— the United States, China, and Japan—sharing her expertise and passion with students from diverse backgrounds. Her teaching experience has deepened her appreciation for art and introduced her to new tools and techniques, many of which she learns about from her students. Carlee’s love for exploration extends beyond the classroom, as she continues to expand her artistic horizons and embrace the endless possibilities that art and design offers. Carlee is a native English speaker and is always working on her Japanese.
