At Tokyo International School (TIS), our core values of Trust, Inspire, and Support are not just words, they are the foundation of our Career and University Support Programme. As a small, close-knit family of 460 students, we offer a truly personal approach to guiding each and every student toward their future. We are committed to supporting every student, no matter their path after leaving us, be it university, a gap year, or direct employment.
We start by building a relationship of trust. Our dedicated counselors work closely with each student through deep conversations and personalized guidance. This isn’t a standardized plan; it’s a journey we embark on with them, starting in Grade 9, to ensure they find not just a path, but the right path for them.
Our goal is to inspire our students to see a world of possibilities. We bring the world to our campus by hosting visits from representatives universities from the US, UK and across Asia and Australia. These connections help spark ambition and open doors they might not have known existed.
So far this year, we’ve welcomed universities from the United States, Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia, and Canada. We are also actively expanding our network to include visits from the UK, Europe, South Korea, and Japan, ensuring our students have broad exposure to the best academic options worldwide.
To support all of our graduates, we provide guidance for any pathway they choose for university, a gap year, or direct employment, ensuring every student is prepared for their next step.
We empower our students with the confidence to make informed decisions by providing a clear, four-year roadmap, built to maximize their options after graduation.
