Unleashing Creativity and Inspiring Imagination

The Arts at TIS are an essential pillar of the student experience, unlocking opportunities for creative expression and self-discovery available to all learners after school. Our Arts programs are where your child is empowered to take creative risks and refine their skills. This program is Meaningful (personal and purposeful), Inclusive (welcoming to all skill levels), and Holistic (balancing activity with reflection).

Applying Curriculum Skills Through CCA Enrichment

The strong foundation your child receives in our daytime Visual Arts, Design, Music, and Theatre curriculum allows them to thrive in our after-school programs. CCAs offer the chance to apply these skills in specialized, collaborative, and extended projects, reinforcing studio habits of mind like persistence and reflection.

Visual Art & Design: Finding Their Voice

Creative clubs are dynamic, supportive hubs where young artists ignite their imagination and define their creative identity. In clubs like Manga Drawing, Arts & Craft, Jewelry Making, and Sewing, our teachers help students explore different materials and techniques. Your child can enjoy unique pursuits like storytelling in the Authors & Illustrators Club.

Music Ensembles and Practice: Hitting the Right Notes

Our after-school programs focus on building both confidence and performance skill. Students can explore music through specialized instruction like Violin or join movement clubs like Dance and Hip Hop Dance. These ensembles and clubs ensure your child can express themselves vividly through musical collaboration and choreographed movement.

Theatre & Dramatic Production: Empathy in Action

Theatre clubs are wonderful platforms for building empathy, communication, and self-assurance. Involvement in the annual Drama Production allows students to develop strong stage presence, including practicing public speaking in Upper School Speech. Students training in essential behind-the-scenes roles, such as lighting design and stage management, directly apply skills learned in the Design curriculum.

TIS focuses on developing the whole student in mind, body, and character.
