Bea has extensive experience in the education sector including her current appointment as an education advisor for the Japanese government. Bea is a key figure in the growth of the International Baccalaureate (IB) in Japan. She is the IB Ambassador to Japan and her experience includes driving the implementation of the IB Dual Language Diploma in the Japanese national school system.

Bea is the Chief Executive Officer of Tokyo International School, President of the Tokyo International School Group and Chief Director of Tokyo International Progressive School. She is also a committee member of several boards of education throughout Japan, such as Nagano, Hiroshima, Kochi,,etc.

Ikuko enjoys walks with her dog.

She speaks Japanese and English.
