Kristen is from the East Coast of the US, but lived and taught in Germany and the Netherlands for over a decade before joining TIS in 2024. She has spent her entire teaching career in the International Baccalaureate (IB) system, teaching MYP English Language & Literature and DP English Literature and Theory of Knowledge. She’s passionate about concept-based, inquiry learning and has taken on many roles over the years, including homeroom teacher, MUN Director, and MYP Coordinator.
In her free time, you can find her reading a good book, doing some creative writing, and either cooking or tasting new foods on her travels. Kristen is fluent in English and conversational in French, German, and Dutch. She is currently studying Japanese in her free time.

We are a fully authorized, International Baccalaureate World School, catering for students from Kindergarten 1 (four years old) to Grade 8 (fourteen years old).
