Martine joined TIS in 2001 during which she has enjoyed numerous professional development opportunities. She joined a UK delegation for a Reggio Preschools study week in Reggio Emilia and attended a variety of IB PYP Workshops with a focus on Early Years education. She pursued enhancing practitioner courses on Social Thinking, as well as training in the Columbia University Teachers College (New York) Reading & Writing Project.
She also participated in an MLATS workshop: Teaching and Learning about Mathematics-using inquiry-based learning effectively. She has twenty-six years of teaching experience. She is an avid potter, loves photography and visiting parks. Martine speaks English and Dutch.
