Claudia is originally from Johannesburg, South Africa, Claudia earned her Bachelor of Education in Foundation Phase Education from the University of the Witwatersrand. She taught in South Africa before moving to Lima, Peru, where she spent two years discovering the joy of the IB PYP framework. Claudia’s teaching philosophy focuses on building a safe, nurturing environment where young learners feel secure to explore. She loves using her creativity to design fun, exciting inquiry lessons for her Kindergarten students, and is excited to join the TIS community.
Outside the classroom, Claudia enjoys creating art through painting and pottery, spending time hiking or unwinding with a cup of tea and a good book. An avid traveler, she looks forward to exploring Japan and learning Japanese.
