Matt has been teaching MYP Science, BP Biology, and DP Environmental Systems and Societies for the past six years. Prior to teaching in a classroom setting, Matt lived in Belize where he helped establish a Marine Education and Research Field Station, where he designed and taught a wide range of experiential learning programs in marine ecology and sustainability to study-abroad High School and University groups. Scuba diving is one of Matt’s main passions, with over a thousand dives all round the world and a professional diving qualification under his belt. Above the sea he loves being outdoors in nature, exploring far flung destinations. Matt is fluent in English, and is attempting (somewhat slowly) to learn Japanese.
