Minori has over 20 years of experience in the education field across four countries, and she has been in a variety of roles including a classroom teacher, a director of programs providing kindergarten education to over 2000 children below the poverty line annually, and a school counselor to students of all ages.  She brings extensive experience and training in child safeguarding and social emotional learning in addition to mental health counseling and college guidance.  Outside of TIS, she is also a college admissions consultant, helping students reach their dream schools and win scholarships.  As the first in her family to earn her bachelor‘s degree on scholarships, she is a strong advocate for educational access.  Her passion and hope is to help young people be all they can be – in heart, mind, and body.  Minori loves going to modern art museums and Disney (both Land and Sea!)  She enjoys her kimono lessons and dreams of wearing it more often. Minori is fluent in English and Japanese.  Her French is rusty, but she enjoys hearing the beautiful language.
