  • MY STORY

BAA (Geography), BEd, Executive Masters in International Educational Leadership and Change (IELC), Member of the Ontario College of Teachers. Qualified Teacher Status

Robert was born in Toronto and has lived most of his Canadian life near the shores of the Great Lakes (no salt, no sharks, no worries).

He has spent more than 20 years as an international educator in Asia. As a teacher, Robert has taught in seven of the eight MYP subject groups. He spent many years as an MYP coordinator, growing with the programme as workshop leader and school visiting team member. As a principal, he has five years experience leading in an MYP/DP secondary school. Both of his children went through the PYP, MYP and DP which has given him a valuable backstage view of the programmes.

Robert loves the outdoors including hiking, running, canoeing, camping, and nature watching. Robert learned to knit as a teenager when neither his mother or sister would make him a sweater and he continues this pastime as meditative practice. Robert speaks English, a little French, very little Thai, and is currently working on Japanese.
