Sayaka was born and raised in Fukuoka, Japan. She started her career as a Japanese language teacher for an IB school in 2013 and has not looked back. Prior to TIS, she taught at another international school for two and half years and is looking forward to sharing her Japanese language knowledge with her students. She is experienced as a CAS Coordinator and seeks to extend this interest into service learning programs. Sayaka loves to eat so much that she always says she lives to enjoy FOOD! Bitten by the travel bug, she continues to pursue her love of traveling. Sayaka speaks Japanese, English and beginner Spanish.
