Define Your TIS Experience

At Tokyo International School (TIS), we are committed to unlocking the personal growth and full potential of the whole child, guided by our belief that every experience must be Meaningful, Inclusive, and Holistic. We know that true development happens when we nurture your child’s intellect, creativity, and physical health in equal measure.

Our Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) Programme extends the learning day, providing vital, engaging opportunities after school hours for students of all ages to develop confidence and character.

The Power of Holistic Education

The time your child dedicates to the Arts and Sports is crucial. CCAs are designed as dynamic spaces for your child to discover new talents, challenge themselves, and pursue unique interests and passions, skills that extend far beyond the academic curriculum.

This is how our values guide the program: CCA experiences are Meaningful because they connect learning to real-world teamwork and problem-solving. They are Inclusive because they embrace diverse interests and help students build strong peer relationships. They are Holistic because they successfully balance focused intellectual engagement with active, reflective pursuits.

The Arts

The Arts unlock exciting opportunities for creative expression and self-discovery. Our Visual Art, Music, and Theatre programs provide a dedicated space for your child to explore their identity and build essential confidence in performance

All TIS parents are welcome to attend our G2 & G3 concert tomorrow from 8:20 to 9:20 in the school gym. In addition to the G2 & G3 showcase, our PYP Choir will also be performing. We’re excited to share this special event with you!

At TIS, experiential learning is key to empowering our students with transformative, hands-on experiences. On Sunday, our G10 students embarked on a 7-day adventure to Thailand, while this morning, our G6-G9 students set off to Niigata for snow sports and team-building fun.
